ONE DAY Introduction to Measuring Social Value
How can we prove that we are making a difference? The Social Value Act calls for all public service commissioning to factor in social value. For the first time, all public bodies in England and Wales will be required to consider how the services they commission and procure might improve the economic, social and environmental wellbeing of the area. As social enterprise service providers, you’ll have great stories about the difference you make and good evidence of the activities that you deliver. But what about evidence of the results and outcomes for the people and communities you serve? What measurable impact are you able to demonstrate when you’re bidding for contracts? What is social value? And how do we measure it? This one day event is brought to you by The SROI Network and Social Enterprise UK as an introduction to social value. The SROI Network is a membership organisations owned by its members. SROI is a frame-work based on social generally accepted accounting principles (SGAAP) that can be used to help manage and understand the social, economic and environmental outcomes created by your activity or organisation. Social Enterprise UK is the national body for social enterprise and our members include social enterprises, charities, public sector bodies and private businesses. We are strategic partners to six government departments and led on the award-winning campaign for the passage of the Public Services (Social Value) Act. £290 + VAT with a 15% discount for SROI Network Members For enquiries about availability, bookings or cost please contact: Emily Crawford, 0151 703 9229, emily.crawford@thesroinetwork.org For further information please contact: Tim Goodspeed, 07714 136 176, training@thesroinetwork.org Forthcoming dates:
