Introduction

The SROI Network and iq consult are pleased to announce The SROI Network International Conference – “A time for social value” will be held on the 16th-17th February 2012, at the University of Potsdam, Campus Griebnitzsee in Germany.

As the world continues to face social and environmental challenges, the level of interest in social and environmental impact continues to increase. Social and impact investors such as CSR departments or foundations and public sector commissioners increasingly want to know how much value their investment creates, and social entrepreneurs are recognising the importance of maximising the value they can create for those they serve.

Behind this interest is the question – how much social value are we creating? The SROI Network International Conference will explore how Social Return on Investment, the framework and principles, can help answer this.

The conference is organised in cooperation with iq consult as part of the "entersocial Good Practice Transfer" project, funded by the Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs, Women and Family of the Federal State of Brandenburg by means of the European Social Fund and the Federal State of Brandenburg.

There will be a special focus on the impact of regional development as a result of this project, which aims to facilitate good practice transfer in Brandenburg and other European regions. Therefore, there is a special ticket rate for individuals residing in Brandenburg.
